To start to edit ICML text content, open a Text asset or create a new Text asset in censhare Web. Typically, an existing Text asset is assigned to you for editing.

To create a new Text asset, we recommend that you always choose to create an asset from a template. Templates contain predefined settings, styles, metadata and the correct content type that simplifies editing. Your censhare administrator takes care of creating the appropriate templates.

Create ICML Text asset

  1. In censhare Web, from the Top navigation, select  Create asset - Asset from template. Select the appropriate template. Enter a name for the asset. Select the  Content language. Select the  Domain. Click OK. The Text asset is created and opens in an asset page.
  2. In the asset page, switch to the Editor tab. In the text area, you can enter text even if the planned layout does not exist yet. If the layout already exists, you can place the ICML text there. A preview and a check for overset text become available.

  3. If needed, switch to the other tabs in the asset page to add any asset details.

Open existing ICML Text asset

The editor for InCopy documents can be opened either from the asset page or or from a list view.

  1. Find the article in censhare Web.
    1. If applicable, find the article under Last created or Last edited.
    2. If not, enter the title of the article in the Quick search field and click Enter.
  2. Open the editor as a dialog overlaying your list. No layout preview.
    1. In the generated list, hover over the article asset. The - menu will appear.
    2. Click on it and then on  Edit content. An InCopy editor without a layout preview will be opened. You can start working on your text here. It retains all other functionality of the usual editor.
  3. Open the fully functional integrated InCopy editor on the asset page.
    1. Double-click the article asset in the list.
    2. On the asset page, the Editor tab will be opened, with both the text editor and the preview on the right.
    3. In the text area, you can enter your text even if the planned layout does not yet exist. If the layout already exists, you can place the ICML text there. A preview and a check for overset text become available.
