This article describes how the Print tab of the Article Editor works when using the Standard Content Structure.

Introduction

The Print tab is divided into these major parts:

  • A Teaser section that can hold information to represent this article inside a table of content (Note that this requires additional transformations not included in the standard)

  • A Key-Visual section that allows to define a main picture and its caption of the article to be placed to predefined boxes in InDesign (see Configuration)

  • A Pictures section that allows to define additional images and their captions that should be placed in InDesign depending on their category and priority (see Configuration)

Configuration

To work with the placement of images and their captions based on priority and category, you first would have to set up some placement categories in the master data section of the censhare Admin Client.

The Standard Layout Templates provided with the Version 2.0 of the Standard Content Structure uses three placement categories for demonstration purposes. If you create these accordingly, the template will work right away

Configuration of the Placement Category feature

Now users can create a new article and assign the placement categories to pictures in the print tab. When placing this article to InDesign, every image and caption will find the box they should be placed in, according to the category and the priority (defined by the order in the Print tab).

The required setup in InDesign can be found in the Standard InDesign Templates provided with the version 2.0 for CS6 and CS5.5
