With cenTaur, censhare moves to a new tech stack and architecture for its Universal Content Management. The Hybrid Mode provides a smooth transition to the new cenTaur application. Hybrid Mode integrates an existing censhare Server into the new tech stack. Thus, you can continue to use the proven censhare technology while starting to migrate and roll out the new cenTaur technology.

Motivation

With cenTaur and the Hybrid Mode, a lot of new topics arise for all stakeholders. Learn about the benefits of why you should switch from a proven and running censhare installation to cenTaur with Hybrid Mode.

Transition

censhare and cenTaur use different technologies, architecture, and development paradigms. The Transition to the Hybrid Mode article explains how we project the transition path from censhare to cenTaur.

Architecture

censhare and cenTaur use different architectures, but have some common parts. While censhare is built as a monolithic application, cenTaur consists of individual and flexible microservices. The architecture overview explains how the two different systems work together in the Hybrid Mode environment.

See the Microservices overview with a short explanation of their respective functions in cenTaur. The microservices communicate with each other via their APIs. The Microservices flows section explains the most important flows which ensure that the system executes the respective tasks and requests of the user interface.
