In Hybrid Mode, cenTaur uses the censhare Server of an existing installation of censhare Server with censhare WP.

The installations of cenTaur and censhare WP share the following common parts (gray background in the graphic):

  • censhare Server with its associated database. censhare Server with censhare WP and cenTaur access the database through the censhare Server only.
  • Routing and Authentication microservices. They serve as an entry area for both web frontends:
    • cenArio for cenTaur
    • censhare WP for censhare Server with censhare WP

In the Hybrid Mode, censhare WP and cenTaur share the routing and authentication microservices and the censhare Server (all shown with grey background).

censhare WP and cenTaur use the same Routing microservice as entry point. Depending on the browser request, the Routing microservice delegates the request to cenTaur or to censhare Server with censhare WP. If a user is not yet authenticated, the request is first forwarded to the Authentication microservice.

centaur and censhare use single sign-on authentication for all users via Keycloak. After login at one of the web frontends, users can switch between censhare WP and cenArio (the new web frontend) without having to authenticate again. A logout disconnects from censhare WP and cenTaur.
