cenTaur is the evolving technical implementation of the censhare Universal Content Management platform. cenTaur implements a technology stack that is based on microservice architecture and uses standard mainstream technology.

Microservice architecture offers advantages in terms of scalability, deployment, fault tolerance, and development. cenTaur uses Kubernetes as microservice platform.

As one main advantage, cenTaur provides new possibilities to add own business logic functionality.

In the first stage, cenTaur still relies completely on the censhare Server. The censhare Server with its associated database stores all asset data. Microservices access the censhare Server directly or indirectly when they search, read or manipulate asset data. The censhare Server itself can run inside the Kubernetes cluster or outside of it, in Hybrid mode. Hybrid operation allows to run an existing censhare Server together with cenTaur.
